What was fantastic about these TVs was the realism of the picture – almost looking real life 3 dimensional.

Editors from CEAG's LCDTVBUYINGGUIDE.COM have announced their selections and choices of the Best LED TVs 2012 CES. “Strangely, it's possible that none of the TVs selected in this list will be available for some time as they were all prototype first to market type TVs.” states Robert Wiley editor of CEAG. Included in the list was an 8K resolution Sharp and a 4K resolution Sharp. “What was fantastic about these TVs was the realism of the picture – almost looking real life 3 dimensional.” stated Wiley. The other two LED backlit LCD TVs were a Crystal LED TV by Sony and an 84” 4K LED – LCD by LG.

In the best plasma category the company reported that all three top models will be sold in the market in 2012. For the Best Plasmas TVs CES 2012 the company chose the Panasonic TC-P65VT50 as the top choice with close second and thirds going to large top tier plasmas by Samsung and LG. Results and writeups of this trio is located at the companies PlasmaTVBuyingGuide.com site.

In the Best 3D TV 2012 category posted at the company's 3D-TVBuyingGuide.com site editors commented at length on the struggle and competition between active vs. passive 3D TV technologies. In the end they chose active 3D as the winning technology with 3D TVs from that technology among the four in the list. The top placement was a top tier plasma model, the Samsung PN60E8000. Following are some of the comments the reviewers made about that models 3D viewing performance, “Although there is not a lot of difference between the high end plasma 3D offerings and the high end LED 3D Televisions we prefer plasma for its better color. Those super bright LED lights are not as important either with 3D. Samsung's new light 3D glasses have no flicker or blurring and I did not even notice any reflection on the inside of the glasses from in-room light. This was one of the only faults we could find in 2011 with Samsung's active 3D TVs. The picture quality is excellent, deep, involving, and the best of what 3D picture quality has to offer.”

Editors noted a top model from Sony as a 2nd place finisher, the Sony KDL-55HX850 which is an LED backlit LCD TV. CEAG reviewers note the following about that model's 3D viewing traits, “We spend a good deal of time viewing the HX850 and the HX929 series from Sony with 3D content. The picture is extremely fluid and smooth and there are just no hiccups. We viewed the upcoming Men in Black and Smurf 3D movie in the active shutter 3D and the glasses are super comfortable, the colors very true without being over-hyped and the depth is great. Sony is making great TVs again in their top end lines HX series.”
