City of Schertz Announces Second Annual Schertz Area Senior Center Gala

The fundraising event called “A Night at the Speakeasy” will benefit the Senior Meal Program.

For the second year in a row, the City of Schertz is sponsoring the Schertz Area Senior Center Gala. A Moment in Time Event Planning is presenting the 1920's speakeasy-themed event called “A Night at the Speakeasy” from 7-11 p.m. on Aug. 8 at the Schertz Civic Center.

The event will feature casino games, cocktails and dancing – Roaring Twenties style! The casino includes roulette, craps, Texas Hold ‘em, slot machines and blackjack. Guests will also enjoy appetizers, wine and beer, as well as big band dance music featuring The River City Stompers. All attendees are encouraged to come dressed to the nines or dolled up in their favorite cocktail attire.

The speakeasy-themed fundraiser will benefit the Senior Meal program. Sponsors include the City of Schertz, A Moment in Time Event Planning, and Casino Fun, Inc.

Tickets cost $25 and include entry into the event, food and $1,000 worth of chips. They are on sale now at the Schertz Senior Center, located at 608 Schertz Parkway, or the Schertz Chamber/Visitor Center Offices, located at 1730 Schertz Parkway.
