We Are Surely Blessed” follows the Lundquist and Johnson families and their children through the early part of 1900s. They are typical Iowa farmers, fighting storms, droughts and the harshness of cold winters, doing what it takes to survive and care for their children.

The beliefs and faith they held are evident, if seldom spoken, but always shining in acts and deeds for family and friends. Readers will watch their children grow and create their own paths, following in the footsteps of their parents, loving the land and gaining the respect of the world around them.

Williams know her story will capture an audience – it is, after all, the story of her family – and it shares enduring themes accessible to any reader. “The hardship of that time, and the love for each other as they story goes along,” she says, present an enticing story.
