I decided to start this video blog so I could get in touch with the people who matter most, the poor, the 99%, to try to learn what they go through so I can understand them better. - Beverly Hills Bill

In a new web series on YouTube, a video blogger who calls himself Beverly Hills Bill discusses his life of privilage and his desire to reach out to the poor and learn from them. "I have decided to start a video blog to get in touch with the people who matter most, the poor, the 99% to try to learn what they go through so I can understand them better.” - Beverly Hills Bill

In the Show, Beverly Hills Bill, who lives the good life in Beverly Hills hires a crew of technicians and filmmakers to produce web videos of himself communicating with the world outside of the 1% through YouTube. “Living in the top 1% is like living in a bubble, I want to go out into the world and experience what it means to live in poverty and by starting this blog, I have taken the first step into meeting the poor people who will help me make the transition.” - Beverly Hills Bill

Many critics comment that the character is ungrateful, and that he should learn to be thankful for what he has, but Bill prefers to be thankful for what he does not have. “It’s better to have not than to have.” - Beverly Hills Bill. Many of his followers compare him to a modern-day Buddha who wishes to reject all materialistic wealth to live a life of poverty. In his blog, Bill talks about how he would like to experience the slums, ride a bus and even not have health insurance.
