The bond of friendship is one of the most valuable gifts of life. We believe every person, both young and old needs and deserves to know they have someone to look up to, someone who supports them and appreciates them. We hope that the Power of Two Friendship Stones will enhance the relationships of Bigs and Littles and inspire people to learn how they can support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The Friendship Stone, a natural, variegated Tiger's Eye semi-precious gemstone, possesses an important message for how each person chooses to view life. The structure of the stone is as beautiful, distinctive and irreplaceable as each individual, and holds a strong message about the power of positive thinking. The stone's appearance dramatically changes with different rays of light, just as each person has the ability to make better choices to alter his or her own direction in life.

About My Stone Company
My Stone Company, the creators of The Friendship Stone was established in 2007 by Cathy Raff after a visit to South Africa where she discovered the Tiger's Eye semi-precious gemstone. The remarkable beauty of the stone and the ability to change its look with the rays of light became an inspiration and metaphor for how one chooses to look at life. Just like the stone has the ability to change with the rays of light, so too do each of us have the potential to make better choices and to think positively, to alter our own direction in life. What started with giving a few stones to a couple of her friends soon grew into The Friendship Stone. With each purchase of The Friendship Stones, the buyer is also tangibly helping the rural community in South Africa from where the stone originates. 10% of all profits will be sent back to these underprivileged villagers.
