Ken May and Bill Doherty are excited to join Warehouse86 Ventures, LLC as Chairman and CEO, respectively. Despite a down economy, Warehouse86 is anticipating growth and is looking forward to the advancement of the unique one-stop liquidation company under the new leadership.
Announced publicly on Monday, these two logistics veterans each have twenty-five years of experience at FedEx in all aspects of shipping, logistics, operations management and customer service. Ken May joins Warehouse86 as chairman, bringing experience most recently as President and CEO of FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Services. Bill Doherty's last stop as Vice President of U.S. Operations for the Eastern Division for FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Services positions him to bring a level of operational, management and leadership excellence to Warehouse86 as CEO.
"In my quarter century in business, I have never seen a company that has more opportunity to revolutionize the marketplace for both sellers and buyers," explains Ken May. "With the expertise of the founders and the experience Bill Doherty and I bring, we will be able to deliver a win-win solution for manufacturers, retailers and consumers."
"I am thrilled to join Warehouse86 because of the potential for growth and success, even in a down economy," says Bill Doherty. "Our goal is to eliminate what is now a cost center for so many manufacturers and retailers by liquidating products in an efficient, revenue generating model while offering consumers great deals."
One of May and Doherty's first order of business for Warehouse86 Ventures, LLC is a complete revamp of the business strategy, marketing and customer experience, which includes an overhaul of the Bidtopia.com website. The new Bidtopia site will further expand the company's reach throughout the industry to both consumers and liquidators.
"We are delighted to have two well respected and paramount leaders from the logistics space," states Paul St. James, founder and CTO of Warehouse86. "The fact that they are excited about moving from leadership roles in a Fortune 100 environment to be directly involved with Warehouse86 speaks volumes of their confidence in our business model."
