Local and Surrounding Law Enforcement is stepping up to show support for Bill Hunt.

Hunt has name recognition advantage over incumbent.

Orange County Sheriffs candidate Bill Hunt is no stranger to law enforcement. And Law Enforcement Agencies around the county are proving it. Several Law Enforcement Agencies are showing their support for Hunt through donations and endorsements. In the last few days Hunt has received endorsements from Buena Park Police, La Habra Police, Laguna Beach Police, San Bernardino Deputy Sheriffs and The Orange County Deputy Sheriffs Association.

Bill was a Sheriffs Deputy for 21 years before leaving the department and pursuing work in the private sector. With the desire and support of the Deputies and other Law Enforcement Agencies Hunt decided to run for Orange County Sheriff in June 2010.

Recent polls show Hunt has higher name recognition than the Incumbent Sheriff and is gaining momentum as it gets closer to the primary election on June 8th. Much of this is due in part to the support of the Deputies Association endorsement. The endorsement comes on the heels of the Incumbent Sheriff publicly stating that the deputies association is supporting the wrong candidate. The recent vote of the association was in favor of Hunt 2 to 1 over Hutchens. The Hunt campaign says it’s a vote of no-confidence in the current sheriff that her own employees don’t want to continue under her watch. The Deputies are asking for another leader.

About Bill Hunt:
Hunt went into the army after high school where he quickly became an MP. After the military he went to college and received a masters in Negotiations and Conflict Management.
