Bill Jacobs MINI of Naperville is proud to be joining this year's "Hope For Haitians 5K Walk/Run For Education" event to raise awareness about Haitians' educational needs. Food For The Poor, Inc., the non-profit organization partnered with this event, is the largest international relief agency in the United States according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy.

The 5K Walk/Run For Education fundraising event will be held on Saturday, May 11th, at Kane County Government Center in Geneva, IL. Bill Jacobs will have a new Mini Cooper on display, and participants will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets of suggested donations to Food For The Poor for a chance to win a 2013 MINI Cooper two-door with automatic transmission convertible, valued at $27,350 (MSRP). The drawing will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013, and the proceeds from this raffle will provide relief to destitute of the Caribbean and Latin America.

"We are so proud to be part of this event and to support Food For The Poor," said Greg Joutras, General Manager at Bill Jacobs MINI in Naperville. "More than ninety-five percent of all donations given to this organization go directly towards programs that help the poor."

Participants in this race can run as a team or as individuals. The race will be held on a USATF certified course, and is timed. Prizes will be awarded for the top male and female group finishers of the 5K run in each age division, and all participants will receive a free T-shirt. Eligible individuals who have raised funds for Hope For Haitians will also be entered for a chance to win four tickets to attend a White Sox game.

Check-in and registration is from 7:00 am to 8:15 am. The 5K Run begins promptly at 8:30 am. Adults will be charged twenty-five dollars; children under seventeen are free.

"Those who cannot attend can still purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win the Mini Cooper," continued Joutras, "Raffle tickets and donations are being accepted online."

This event will also feature live music, face painting, and balloon creations by a balloon artist, which will be sure to entertain and provide a fun day for all.
