New and Improved Consumer Focused Website about Binoculars Launches
TheBinocularSite.com announces its re-launch into the binocular industry with a new look, new content and a renewed consumer focus.
Guelph, ON (PRWEB) November 4, 2008 - TheBinocularSite.com, recently bought by website publisher MFE Interactive, announced the official launch of the revamped website today, complete with a new look and new content. The new version of the site offers in depth looks at the offerings of the top binocular manufacturers as well as detailed information on individual pairs of binoculars complete with consumer ratings and reviews.
"A member of our marketing staff was searching for a pair of binoculars for a family member as a gift and found it amazingly hard to find reviews or ratings that didn't come from a retailer," said Rae Hoffman, Editorial Director for TheBinocularSite.com. "Additionally, the information he found to help him choose the right pair of binoculars was also sparse. So he pitched the idea of doing a website that would fulfill both of these needs, with a focus on the consumer."
The company liked the idea and found a website to revive into a true consumer portal. Over the course of the next several months, content was developed that detailed the offerings of 25 of the top manufacturers in the binocular industry, from Alpen to Zeiss, and consumer guides were written to help site visitors learn what they needed to know before making a purchase. There is also in-depth information on individual pairs of binoculars.
"We have detailed information and product specifications for hundreds of pairs of binoculars, including the ability to leave and read consumer reviews and ratings on each. We're looking forward to seeing the number of reviews grow over time," said Stuart Wood, a Marketing Specialist for TheBinocularSite.com.
In addition to the core content offerings, the company plans to add special sections over time that appeal to their site user base, starting off with a large directory of birding locations in North America.
"We know one of the biggest uses for binoculars is within the birding community. So we thought adding a directory of birding locales to the site, with descriptions, pictures and the ability to rate and review each made sense for our users," Wood stated. "We'd like to become a resource for not only researching and purchasing binoculars, but also for the use of them."
