Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB), announced today that it is partnering with an increasing number of international schools to help them better manage their school administration, fundraising, Web site, and finances.

International schools including The American School in Japan (ASIJ), International School of Tanganyika in Tanzania, The International School of Macao in China, The American School Foundation-Mexico City, and the Woodstock School in India, each use components of the comprehensive school administration solution.

"Our students come from all over the world to attend school in Japan, and once they graduate, communication with their classmates is important to them," said Eugene Witt, ASIJ's director of technology. "With Blackbaud's Total School Solution, we are building a centralized online community involving not only our current students and parents, but all worldwide constituents who through the years have been served by ASIJ. Plus, Blackbaud's global presence enables us to have access to 24-hour support."

The American School in Japan, an international institution located in Tokyo, has been providing students with a strong academic curriculum in a multicultural setting for more than 100 years. Blackbaud's Total School Solution helps ASIJ streamline its administrative operations, and serves as a single source for student information across all of the school's offices. ASIJ also relies on the solution's Web components to foster better communication among its 150 faculty members, 1500 students, 1000 families and more than 15000 alumni.

Blackbaud's Total School Solution enables schools to:

  •     Reduce staff time spent on administrative tasks, streamline student billing, speed collections, and automate and simplify the admissions process and class scheduling
  •     Improve data efficiency, ensuring the consistent collection and update of information across all school offices
  •     Connect the entire campus with a centralized database and an interactive online network for faculty, parents, students, and alumni
  •     Cultivate strong relationships and earn lifelong support
