Environmentally friendly technology is developing every day

While see-through solar window technology isn't new, making it affordable is. The Frauenhofer Institute for Mechanics is developing new technology that could bring see through solar windows to houses, cars and buildings, even the sides of walls. Indium, the see-through layer on solar glass has been cost prohibitive. Frauenhofer is working with phosphorous and other materials to bring expenses down and deliver it to consumers, according to Solar Feeds. The technology could be glazed onto windows as they are manufactured. As solar window technology becomes a reality for consumers, Blinds Chalet is prepared to back them up with environmentally friendly technology to protect the interior of the home.

With each window treatment personally tested, Blinds Chalet brings only the most relevant products to their eco-concerned clientele:

  •     U.V. Protection Shades. In addition to superior insulation Blinds Chalet's honeycomb cellular shades eliminate virtually 100% of U.V. rays that can fade and damage furniture and flooring, yet Blinds Chalet's colors never fade!
  •     Temperature Control Shades. Control energy use and room temps with Blinds Chalet's energy efficient shades! The Cellular shade pattern offers a unique insulating barrier from the home and outside.
  •     Light Diffusing Shades. Blinds Chalet's energy efficient light filtering shades diffuse the light and allow a room to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter without restricting the natural light!
  •     Energy Smart Shades. Blinds Chalet's cellular shade fabric is energy smart! Blinds Chalet's honeycomb structure traps air and keeps homes warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, helping to lower energy costs!

By harnessing energy from the outside through windows and reducing energy costs from the inside with window blinds, the reliance on energy sucking air conditioning can be greatly diminished, not to mention bringing down heating bills in the winter.

"Environmentally friendly technology is developing every day," says Ron Manwaring of Blinds Chalet. "At Blinds Chalet, we think it's important not only to bring new ideas to our customers, but to offer them the most effective, eco-friendly window treatments available."
