Being highly committed to Veteran affairs, Medals of America recently posted in their blog about a man named Tim Davis. Davis was a soldier who fought in the Vietnam War. Although he survived the war, many of his friends did not return. Davis stated that he never felt settled, or content with what happened to those he knew in Vietnam. So after years of unrest, Davis returned to Vietnam. He visited places of major battles, the areas he had been deployed to, and the places where many of his friends’ deaths occurred.

“I had a lot of buddies that got lost…got killed, and we were really, really close. It meant a lot for me to go back there and see where they actually got killed…and say goodbye to them,” Davis stated when asked about his trip back to Vietnam. When Davis returned home however, there was a surprise worthy of a man who fought for his nation. Over one hundred friends, family, and locals welcomed Davis home along with an escort of motorcyclists, police, and a military jeep.

This is the kind of story that Medals of America loves to hear, Veterans being shown genuine appreciation and honor for their service. Medals of America is one of the number one supporters of Veterans and they consistent fight to raise awareness for Veteran affairs.
