Today marks the introduction of a new service that will help to bring significant value to both readers and owners of blogs on the web. Artiklz is excited to be participating in this rapidly expanding blog marketspace
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2008
Today, Artiklz (http://artiklz.com ) is excited to announce the alpha launch of a new service that offers a 360 degree view for bloggers and their comments no matter where they originated from and for the blog reader, the ability to read the "global" comments associated with the blog post on any site or other blog. Artiklz offers the only 2-way gateway to comments, so no matter where a comment is made on the blog post, it will ultimately make its way back onto the Artiklz widget so that the blog author/owner now gains that 360 degree view that previously did not exist.
In the alpha release, Artiklz aggregates the various popular web sharing/rating sites (Digg, Reddit, Yahoo! Buzz, FriendFeed, Mixx, et al) in addition to the major blogging and commenting systems for comments related to the blogger's article posting and brings them right back into a singular widget. This would layer itself seamlessly and transparently back onto the blog owner's blog. Artiklz also enables users to create a central registry on its platform so that the user can go to any blog or website and (a) follow the blog or author(s) of the blog/website and its respective comments on the web, (b) continue to monitor a specific posting of comments and ensuing reply threads to keep the conversation of comments alive, and (c) follow their favorite commenter on the web.
The benefits to the blogger is clear: (1) the blogger retains the continuity of the downstream comments that are generated off of the blogger's IP (content), and (2) other readers of the blog get to see what and where else other commenter/comments are coming from without ever having to leave the blog.
Translation: full visibility over the blog owner's entire readership audience + longer session/pageview durations = Greater Value
For clarification, (1) Artiklz's platform is not a replacement system to the existing user's blogging software, nor is it a blogging platform add-on for managing comments like DISQUS, SezWho, IntenseDebate, or any of the others in that space. Instead, it is a widget that can be downloaded and installed as part of the blog platform to supplement the comments that are made directly onto the blog by feeding comments in from other sources. The other, more robust alternative is to download the Artiklz plug-in to provide inline comments for those on the blog and those found on other sites, thereby, creating a more integrated flow of comments; (2) While other blogging/commenting platforms are only able to track the comments within their own platform ecosystem, Artiklz tracks and monitors across all the leading blogging/commenting platforms and rating/sharing sites and; (3) Artiklz provides this capability without requiring the casual commenter or reader to download or install any plug-ins, which minimizes the effort towards greater adoption and more widespread usage in Artiklz's opinion. "Today marks the introduction of a new service that will help to bring significant value to both readers and owners of blogs on the web. Artiklz is excited to be participating in this rapidly expanding blog marketspace", stated John N. Le, co-founder of Artiklz.
The various widgets provided by the Artiklz platform are fully configurable and customizable by the blog owner. Artiklz saw this as being something extremely important to that constituency and wanted to ensure that Artiklz's offering supported the capability day one. In addition to being used by blog owners, the Artiklz widget can be integrated into any website or corporate intranet to provide an integrated view of what is happening around a particular topic or corporate communication. Video, pictures, and SMS-based commenting will soon be introduced into the beta version of the platform along with several other useful features - like mobile device support that Artiklz could not squeeze into the alpha release timeframe.
Artiklz is a Web 2.0 startup focused on delivering aggregated comment streams and conversations across blogs and websites. It is a portfolio company of Mozaik, LLC
