Education. Marion Brady discussed Active versus Passive Learning. He offers three (in PDF) free workbooks that help you change your students to Active Learning. Bill Page, At-Risk Students: Feeling Their Pain, Understanding Their Defensive Ploys, is self-explanatory. Leah Davis of the KellyBear books on parenting and teaching. Natalie Schwartz, teacher chronicles, explained the research results of her interviews of teachers across the country. Dr. Karen Pirnot ,author of as I am, tells of her miraculous work with a quadriplegic child who was considered unteachable. Marjan Glavac, discusses his book HOW to MAKE a DIFFERENCE: inspiring students to do their best – it is inspiring. Julie Rebboah’s Magic Letters; The Keys to the World of Words and Magic Words; Discovering the Adventure of Reading are books to help beginning readers.

Dr. Charles Herbert , the developer of the Basic Inventory of Natural Language (BINL). He can test in 42 different languages. Maura DiBernardinis, a music teacher in the mold of Mr.Holland’s Opus, should inspire teachers to bring music daily into their classrooms. Dr. John Telford, teacher to superintendent (A LIFE on the RUN), gave insight into the politics of the Detroit Public Schools proving bad stuff happens to courageous people at every level in education.

Relationships. Renee Martinez - http://www.RaisingBoysWorld.com, She has developed a forum for moms with problem boys. Much of it also can be used to help girls too. Arriell and Ryan, teenagers dating, were interviewed using Rose’s Getting to Know You: Your Personal Psychologist, workbook (can be used from middle school up). Arriell’s mom, Arrianne Bell, was on twice demonstrating the workbook with Dr.Rose. This short workbook teaches as well as gives practice in relationships.

Business, Technology. Filomena Warihay, business consultant, tells how she teaches employers and employees to bring joy (her book, JOY RULES) into the workplace – and in schools. Lanny Swerdlow, medical marijuana nurse, brings in major research (even by the federal government) and new data on the uses of marijuana.

Dr. Rose has been busy interviewing people in education and from every type of discipline who are changing mindsets of behaviors that aren’t working.
