On December 1st, the founders and several trustees of the Disque Foundation will partner with Cross-Cultural Solutions (CCS) in Costa Rica to train medical personnel and other local citizens on Basic Life Support skills. The National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS) will provide financial support for this effort.
This collaborative effort will include a number of volunteers from Cross-Cultural Solutions. This organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that addresses critical global issues by providing meaningful and sustainable volunteer service to communities abroad, and contributing responsibly to local economies.
The Disque Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization led by Karl (Fritz) Disque, DO RPH. The mission is "To further advance the quality of education and health care to the underserved both domestic and abroad through the use of technology." One of the ways they offer this support is by lending assistance to organizations that provide humanitarian service on a global scale.
Volunteers from the Disque Foundation regularly travel to developing countries around the world to assist with natural disaster recovery and provide valuable medical training to the local health care professionals. In recent years, they have visited Haiti and Ethiopia to lend their medical and training expertise to the people in these countries.
