Blue Ridge Bridal Shows (BRBS) is on the leading edge of the Bridal Show industry by addressing the issues that face many bridal shows today. In today’s social media world, brides are looking for interaction. On Sunday, September 26, Brides can “Celebrate their Blue Ridge Wedding” by attending a party at The George Washington Hotel in Winchester, Virginia. Attendance is down by both the exhibitors and the attendees. In today’s economy, what sets one business apart from another is their attitude toward their consumer.

Producing three bridal expos this fall in close proximity of each other, one would think that this is over kill. BRBS does not think so. Since BRBS goal is to brand the Blue Ridge Shenandoah Valley as a Wedding Destination, it is important that the brides understand the differences in the Blue Ridge Regions. For this reason, BRBS produces small shows highlighting the character of each area with different themes and different exhibitors at each show.

On September 26, 2010, BRBS will produce The George Washington Bridal Boutique Show. In its third year, this show has always been about the bride and her skincare, hair and make-up. After last year’s show’s attendance was down, BRBS had a marketing forum meeting with the top wedding experts in The Valley and determined that the show needed to change and become more clients driven instead of exhibitor driven.

The result is BRBS is throwing a party which will Celebrate Blue Ridge Weddings. As Brides enter the ballroom, a glass of champagne is presented, food, music, and fun surrounds them as well as wedding professionals. For newly engaged brides, Potomac Bridals will have bridal salons trunk showing with discounts offered.

A Spa Extravaganza presented by Mane Attraction Salon and Wellness Spa. The Bridal Party will have the opportunity to experience many of the services regularly provided by the professionals at Mane Attraction. Ask questions, try as many of the treats as you'd like, schedule a tour or consultation. Experience centers will be set up for hair, make-up, nails, and spa - professionals will be standing by. Brides will also attend a tea and educational moments including Aimee Hardenberger of True Wedding Events.

With the popularity of all inclusive http//[honeymoon destinations], Mary June Williams, owner of Alpha Voyages Inc, a Winchester based CLIA travel agency having just returned from 34 days at sea on cruise ships, will discuss “The Regent Seven Seas” and sailing around the world versus a land inclusive destination “Sandals and Beaches”. Like the other speakers, Mary June will speak to the bride and groom’s personal choice of selecting their honeymoon and making it theirs. Alpha Voyages is a host travel agency with fifteen independent agents. Mary June has been selected by OSSN (Outside Sales Support Network) as the 2010 Blue Ridge OSSN Chapter Director. Alpha Voyages is a member of, a travel consortium which features Vacation Vignettes.
Finally, the party will move into the Half Note at the George Washington Hotel where music will be playing, the latest line dance will be introduced and the brides, grooms, and their friends can party the afternoon away. Not forgetting how much the brides love gifts, the Finale of the Silver Suitcase Give Aways will wrap the day up. One special prize is from the Hilton Garden Winchester.
