Tangible Express Expands its Rapid Prototyping Capabilities with Accura Bluestone Nano-composite Plastic
Tangible Express, fractional ownership provider of rapid prototyping technology, announces the arrival of a 3D systems bluestone-capable stereolithography apparatus (SLA), rapid prototyping machine. The large vat of Accura Bluestone nano-composite plastic enables Tangible Express to produce models up to 26" x 29" x 11" on a single platform.
(PRWEB) June 7, 2007 -- Tangible Express, fractional ownership provider of rapid prototyping technology, announces the arrival of Accura® Bluestone nano-composite plastic for use with the 3D systems stereolithography apparatus (SLA), rapid prototyping machine. The large vat of Accura Bluestone nano-composite plastic enables Tangible Express to produce models up to 26" x 29" x 11" on a single platform.
"We're pleased to be the sole provider in North America of this new bluestone-based prototyping capacity. By expanding our ability to meet the demands of our clients and providing Accura® Bluestone nano-composite plastic at preferential prices through our Tangible Alliance Program, we have affirmed our commitment to innovate and lead this industry." commented Alex Linde, President and C.O.O. Tangible Express.
The decision to expand the bluestone program indicates a strong belief in the value of the material and what it can do for Tangible's customer base. Bluestone processes much like traditional SL resin but significantly broadens the range of applications for SL parts. Bluestone can be used in aggressive thermal environments as it is resistant up to 250 degrees celcius. It is also ideal for wind-tunnel models and lighting design where added stiffness and thermal resistance are needed.
The Tangible Alliance Program places this normally expensive technology within the budget range of companies and individuals who were previously kept from these machines by price restraints. Tangible Express has eliminated the need for companies to hire and train individuals to run these complex machines by creating an in-house prototyping shop.
About Tangible Express:
Tangible Express was founded in 2006 by David McInnis with a vision of providing access to the latest in rapid prototyping technology to the industry at lower costs through a fractional ownership program. Since launching the Tangible Alliance Program in February, Tangible Express has expanded to nineteen platforms on thirteen machines to meet the needs of its customers.
