We are proud of the humanitarian efforts of our BTS Members

As a philanthropic organization, the BTS requires their more than 300 chapters across the country to choose a charity or community project to support as part of the BTS GoodWorks™ programs (mirrored after the Clinton Global Initiative), which benefit others less fortunate. This year they are celebrating the public acknowledgement of their member’s efforts in these pursuits.

In October, Clair Boyer, BTS member and chapter director, was named Volunteer of the Month by The American Red Cross, a strategic partner of the Blue Thong Society. And on November 3rd, Bethany for Children and Families (Bethany) honored the BTS Quad Cities chapter as the Community Service Group of the Year for their contributions in making a positive difference in the lives of others.

“We are very proud of our member’s accomplishments in these areas. All our chapters perform outstanding GoodWorks for their communities and they have for the past 5 years. The number of people we have helped is countless,” says, Mary Jo Wallo, Blue Thong Society founder. “And we would not be able to do all we do without the support of our many sponsors”.

BTS sponsors, such as Blue Ice Vodka, offer regional and national event support, gifts, and donations. Blue Ice Vodka widely participates in and supports museums, children’s charities, film festivals and more. As a 5-year sponsor of the BTS, they have inspired members and attended many of the BTS charitable and regional events.

The Blue Thong Society holds regional events and national conferences. For 2012* they are cruising to Cozumel out of New Orleans. Conferences allow members from across the country to meet, reconnect, and attend educational workshops, enjoyable activities, and mixers. All events are open to everyone.
