"Since not everyone can visit our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth to see the mezzanines being built, we are taking the mezzanine to them," Curreri says.
Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB) November 16, 2011
"Have mezzanine, will travel" is the new marketing motto for Bluff Manufacturing, a leading provider of steel and aluminum dock boards and plates, portable yard ramps, and warehouse safety equipment to companies throughout the U.S, Mexico, Canada, Caribbean and South America. The Fort Worth-based company is taking its newest product line on the road via a flatbed truck to show first-hand how mezzanines are an ideal, economical solution for increasing floor space and storage capacity in warehouses and industrial facilities.
According to Andrea Curreri, vice president of marketing and sales, the mezzanine was built specifically for display purposes to show dealers and end users Bluff Manufacturing's work.
"Since not everyone can visit our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth to see the mezzanines being built, we are taking the mezzanine to them," Curreri says. "Seeing and touching a mezzanine in person makes it easier to grasp the concept and understand how it can save money and improve operations."
The display mezzanine, which is 11.5 feet tall and weighs 800 lbs, is being taken to trade shows, conventions and dealer locations nationwide. The display mezzanine made its debut in April at the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) Annual Convention and Exhibitors Showcase in Phoenix, which is one of the industry's premier events. Since then, the mezzanine has traveled to Grapevine, Texas for the 10th Annual Warehousing Resource Convention hosted by the North Texas Warehousing Education and Resource Council (WERC) and in October, it made a special appearance at the grand opening of one of Bluff Manufacturing's distributors, Russell Industries, new location in Irving, Texas, where it will remain for a few weeks.
Bluff Manufacturing's mezzanines are custom-designed to fit the customer's specific needs and can create an additional 100 to 25,000 square feet of vertical space. Designed to meet or exceed OSHA, IBC, BOCA or other agencies regulations, these state-of-the-art structures can be used for many different purposes:
- In-plant offices and observation platforms
- Create open spaces for assembly or storage
- Structures to provide conveyor support
- Multi-level shelving units up to four levels high
- Multi-level carton flow systems
Each mezzanine structure is built with the highest level of safety to create a design which will keep installation costs low. Bluff Manufacturing selects the most cost-effective combination of hot-rolled structural steel and other materials all assembled by certified welders in its Fort Worth headquarters.
Like all Bluff Manufacturing products, special mezzanine options to best customize your needs are available but not limited to:
- Slide gates
- Swing gates
- Metal stairways and landing systems
- Crossovers for vertical conveyors
