Extremely valuable ... I’ve been given information that might have cost me hundreds or even thousands of dollars through our association’s attorneys and it also will help us avoid expenses in the future, because of information that we were unaware of.
Titusville, FL / Margate, FL (PRWEB) January 05, 2012
Board Member Boot Camp®, the popular community association training seminar that has received rave reviews from participating condo, HOA and other association Board members and managers from throughout the State, is coming to Florida’s Space Coast for a fun-filled half day of State-certified Board member education on Saturday, Feb. 25th at the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum in Titusville, FL.
Presented by Katzman Garfinkel & Berger (KG&B), the leader in community association law in the state of Florida, and the Community Advocacy Network (CAN), Florida’s leading advocacy organization for community association residents statewide, Board Member Boot Camp® is a lively and completely FREE seminar in which newcomer and veteran community association Board member “recruits” are trained by KG&B’s corps of highly experienced community association attorney “officers” and “drill sergeants” to successfully serve on their community association Board of Directors.
KG&B's Board Member Boot Camp® seminar has proven to be one of the most popular educational options available among Florida community association members who already serve on their Board of Directors, as well as those who are becoming active in their association and thinking about running for the Board.
Board Member Boot Camp® is approved by the State of Florida to satisfy Director certification requirements for newly elected or appointed condominium Directors, a requirement that will soon extend to HOA and Cooperative Directors throughout Florida. The Board Member Boot Camp® certificate of course completion is good for an entire year, before it needs to be presented to the association Secretary to comply with Board member certification requirements mandated by the State.
“We’re very excited to be offering Board Member Boot Camp® for association Board members and managers along the Space Coast and throughout Central Florida at such a fabulous venue as the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum in Titusville,” said Donna DiMaggio Berger, Founding Partner of Katzman Garfinkel & Berger and Executive Director of the firm’s Community Advocacy Network. “This Space Coast edition of our Board Member Boot Camp® seminar marks the start of a new phase in the extension of our firm’s comprehensive educational program for Board members and managers to community associations throughout Central and Northern Florida.”
The Space Coast and Central Florida Board Member Boot Camp® on Saturday, Feb. 25th, headlines the new 2012 Winter Schedule of Board Member certification and Community Association Manager (CAM) continuing education courses offered under the auspices of the Katzman Garfinkel & Berger Law and Learning Center in Margate, FL, and at the firm's Central Florida offices in Maitland/Orlando.
Board Member Boot Camp® has been highly praised by community association Board members who have participated in past events and come away able and ready to successfully serve their communities as Board members for the coming year. Just a few of the many positive comments from past Board Member Boot Camp® participants include:
- Fabulous, particularly for new Board members ... helps people know how much they don’t know and need to know when they’re on a Board.
- I have never been a Board member before and was just appointed to a Board. This is so enlightening to me. Everyone is so intelligent and telling everything in a very simple way that we can understand ... I appreciate this event so much.
- Extremely valuable ... I’ve been given information that might have cost me hundreds or even thousands of dollars through our association’s attorneys and it also will help us avoid expenses in the future, because of information that we were unaware of.
