I'm about 5 weeks from casting off for Puerto Vallarta and find I'm in need of a third crewperson... Let me know if anyone is interested.

When circumnavigators and offshore, blue water cruisers need to connect with family, friends, and the hundreds of landlocked dreamers living vicariously through them, they have remarkably few options to do so.
Not because they don’t have the tools to communicate — most blue water cruisers today have Satellite Phones, wifi, and SSB capabilities — but because there aren’t many websites designed for cruisers to easily share this information. Cruisers have had to worry about setting up a personal blog or publishing their trip stats on a generic forum in order to just tell their friends and loved ones that they’re safe and sound, 2,000 miles from land!
But The Salty Mariner, a social network for boaters and active cruisers, helps cruisers easily share their location, publish photographs, and let friends, family, and their fans follow their journey around the globe.
Forums and blogs don’t let you easily publish the information that you need to publish. Some of The Salty Mariner’s members are in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on small power and sailboats. It’s important for these adventurers to be able to communicate to their followers quickly and easily.
On Wednesday, the free social network for boaters will be accepting new members. Up until now, the site has attracted the likes of global cruisers from around the world. Many of the members are currently cruising far flung corners of the world including Australia, Tonga, Mexico, China, and Europe. The social network plans to slowly extend its reach over time and offer cutting-edge features like live GPS-tracking.
Like Facebook, The Salty Mariner lets users post general updates and events and keep tabs on their friends in a news feed. Members are already forming connections with each other and using the site to find other boaters. One member posted “I'm about 5 weeks from casting off for Puerto Vallarta and find I'm in need of a third crewperson... Let me know if anyone is interested.”
The Salty Mariner is an opportunity to connect with fellow boaters and active cruisers in ways that are not currently being offered.
