Charlotte, NC (Vocus) November 15, 2010
In addition to providing fans with tailgating necessities like Bojangles’ famous chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits and delicious fixin’s, Bojangles’ is searching for the ultimate tailgater with its Tailgating “Boto” Contest on Facebook. Photo entries can be submitted now through January 11, 2011, for a chance to enjoy the ultimate tailgate party right in their own home.
The grand prize winner can receive the “Super Bo” tailgate party of their dreams, including a 46” flat-panel LED HDTV; a Blu-ray home theater system to make it sound like they are sitting in the stands; installation of the entertainment package; and $100 worth of Bojangles’ delicious chicken, biscuits and fixin’s to entertain friends and family.
To enter, tailgaters can visit Bojangles’ fan page on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Bojangles for official rules and to post their best tailgating photo. Tailgaters can support any team in any sport, from pee wee soccer to pro football and everything in between. Photos will be judged based on team and Bojangles’ spirit, creativity and tailgating energy. Judges will select the top 10 photos, but then it’s up to the public to vote for the winners.
Along with the grand prize tailgating party package, all contestants who place in the top 10 are winners. Second place will win a custom Bojangles’ cornhole game and a $100 Bojangles’ gift card; third place will receive a cornhole game and a $75 Bojangles’ gift card; fourth place will win a cornhole game and a $50 Bojangles’ gift card; and fifth- through 10th-place winners will each receive a $50 Bojangles’ gift card.
“Bojangles’ famous chicken, biscuits and fixin’s have been part of tailgating culture since the company was founded in 1977, and we are looking forward to seeing all the creative ways that our Bojangles’ fans tailgate,” said Bojangles’ Marketing Merchandising Manager Toni Tolbert, who regularly patrols the parking lots around Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium as “Tailgating Toni” on game days, rewarding enthusiastic Carolina Panthers fans with Bojangles’ merchandise and other gifts.
To make tailgating a breeze, Bojangles’ offers “Tailgate Specials” that come with 8, 12 or 20 pieces of Bojangles’ famous fried chicken along with enough fresh-baked biscuits and picnic-sized fixin’s for everyone to enjoy. Even early-arriving tailgaters can take advantage of Bojangles’ breakfast items that are served all day by picking up a variety of biscuit sandwiches that’s sure to please everyone in the crowd.
Along with its menu of traditional tailgating favorites, Bojangles’ also has options for sports fans who are equally fanatical about making healthier eating choices. With grilled chicken sandwiches and newly introduced Roasted Chicken Bites available at most locations, tailgaters have plenty of options to complete their tailgate spread.
“Being involved in the communities where we do business is important to Bojangles’,” said Bojangles’ Senior Vice President of Marketing Randy Poindexter. “Promoting the Tailgating ‘Boto’ Contest for our fans is a great way to do this.”
