We know that the money raised by this year’s tournament will make a difference for many families affected by neuromuscular diseases and support breakthrough research for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy.

The Bojangles’ Golf Classic, held earlier this week, raised more than $175,000 net proceeds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), a record-breaking amount for the annual tournament. Bojangles’ has now raised more than $1.4 million for the organization throughout the 12-year partnership.
After enjoying a variety of Bojangles’ made-from-scratch biscuits for breakfast, 140 golfers took to the links on Monday, Sept. 20, at Providence Country Club. Following the 18-hole tournament, participants gathered for an awards reception, including silent and live auctions.
The auctions and raffles alone helped raise $50,000 for MDA by offering exciting items such as an ultimate race fan experience at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a once-in-a-lifetime Carolina Panthers experience for four, court-side seats to watch the Charlotte Bobcats take on the Miami Heat, autographed memorabilia, other sports ticket packages and much more.
“While we always have a great time at our annual Bojangles’ Golf Classic, the most important part of this event is the fundraising aspect,” said Bojangles’ President and CEO Randy Kibler. “We know that the money raised by this year’s tournament will make a difference for many families affected by neuromuscular diseases and support breakthrough research for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. The entire Bojangles’ team and all of the participating partners are very proud to be part of these efforts.”
