In Wake of Nuclear Threats, Nuclear Protection Expert Says Survival is Possible with the Right Underground Bomb Shelter Protection

Foreign-policy experts agree that a nuclear materials attack on America is near. Walton McCarthy, President and Chief Engineer at Radius Engineering International, says that nuclear, biological and chemical terrorism is survivable with the right underground bomb shelter protection in place.

(PRWEB) July 5, 2006 -- Foreign-policy experts agree that a nuclear materials attack on America is near. Walton McCarthy, President and Chief Engineer at Radius Engineering International, says that nuclear, biological and chemical terrorism is survivable with the right underground bomb shelter protection in place.

"All of these attacks – nuclear, biological and chemical – are very survivable," McCarthy explains. "America can survive terrorism. Self-protection is a vital component of all wars. We just need to have the protection in place before the attack occurs."

Though no one knows for certain when or where such an attack will take place, the pessimism among America’s top foreign-policy advisors has never been higher. 47% of America’s top foreign-policy experts believe America’s single greatest threat to national security is nuclear materials and nuclear weapons of mass destruction.

Foreign Policy Magazine and the Center for American Progress polled over 100 foreign-policy experts; 65% of them believe America will be attacked on a 9/11 scale this year. Democrats and Republicans agreed, with 80% having worked in government and 86% believing the world is becoming more dangerous.

Walton McCarthy also agrees. "The threat of nuclear, biological and chemical attack has never been greater," he says. "Dozens of nuclear weapon engineers from the former Soviet Union have disappeared into India, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and Brazil."

Terrorism protection requires many components. One of the biggest and best is the availability and use of an underground bomb shelter. Radius Engineering manufactures underground shelters that are paraboloid fiberglass structures equipped with HEPA filters, water tanks, and fiberglass showers, batteries and air filters. The only exposed area on the shelter is the hatch dome, allowing the structure to survive two 1-megaton nuclear blasts.

The paraboloid (egg) shape structure allows maximum brightness and roominess for shelter occupants. “Our mission,” says McCarthy, “is to protect the American citizen from the terrorist threat. We produce world-class bomb shelters for use as underground shelters, fallout shelters, and for protection from weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.. For protection from WMDs," says McCarthy, "Radius Engineering underground shelters are your safest bet."
