Pat first made national news by selling sponsorship ad space on his bald head, to raise money to cover the cost to be tested for the bone marrow registry.

Pat was nominated by CNN in the category of "Young Wonder" after he organized a 3-month, 30-city tour. During his tour, Pat far exceeded his goal of registering 2007 new bone marrow donors by registering more than 6000 donors! Through Pat's efforts, one marrow match has already been found and a gentleman has been given a second chance at life.

During his nationwide bone marrow drive, Pat was featured on CNN. Pat is the only child among six finalists being considered for the "Hero" award.

CNN Heroes culminates in a live global broadcast from the American Museum of Natural History in New York on Thursday, December 6 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT, 2 a.m. Dec. 7 GMT, 10 a.m. Dec. 7 HKT). "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute" -- hosted by CNN's Anderson Cooper with Christiane Amanpour -- honors the most outstanding viewer-nominated CNN Heroes as chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of world leaders and luminaries.
