Eat|See|Hear will show the 1980s-themed drama starring Mark Wahlberg at a downtown LA drive in.

Eat|See|Hear, an outdoor movie series, will show Risky Business on June 29 at the Los Angeles Trade Tech College. This downtown LA drive in will feature live music by local indie act Honeypie and food provided by the following LA food trucks: Good Greek Grub, Flatiron Truck, Coolhaus and Brasil Kiss. The schedule for the event is as follows: doors open at 5:30 p.m., the band plays at 7 and the film starts at 8:30.

People planning on attending this event are strongly encouraged to preorder tickets at, though there will be a limited amount of tickets available at the door. Preordered general admission tickets are $10 and drive-in tickets are $15. General admission tickets purchased at the door will be $12.

Boogie Nights is a 1997 drama directed by Paul Thomas Anderson starring Mark Wahlberg. The film chronicles the life of a high school dropout (Wahlberg) as he becomes famous in the booming pornography industry of the 1970s. The film also stars Burt Reynolds, Julianne Moore and Heather Graham.

Honeypie, which will be providing live music prior to the drive in movie, is a Huntington Beach-based indie-folk band formed by Trisha Smith and Darian Zahedi. The band has been compared to other indie acts like She & Him and Rilo Kiley. The band’s songs have been featured on several TV shows.

“We’re really excited about this event,” says Eat|See|Hear Co-Owner Sharon Sperber. “We love when we get a chance to do a drive in, and with Honeypie and the awesome food trucks we have lined up, this is going to be a really fun night.”

Eat|See|Hear is LA’s premier outdoor movie, food truck and live music series that brings an evening of fun to Los Angeles-area venues each summer. The second annual series is presented by SHOWTIME, featuring up-and-coming bands from the local music scene, the hottest food trucks and the only 3-story high, 52-foot wide inflatable movie screen west of the Mississippi, with the highest quality HD-projection and digital surround sound. The Eat|See|Hear series promises an enjoyable movie-going experience for everyone. Eat|See|Hear is produced through a collaboration between LA-based Trailhead Marketing, Inc. and Hollywood Outdoor Movies.
