Mr. Carson is currently Chairman of the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) and past Chair of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS). He has been General Manager of The Prince George Hotel in Halifax, NS, since the hotel opened in 1986. Born and educated in England, Mr. Carson gained experience in both the UK and Bermuda prior to moving to Canada.

Throughout his career, Nicholas Carson has demonstrated exemplary leadership, not in only in his management of The Prince George Hotel, but also in his untiring pursuit of excellence in the total tourism product. In 2002, he was greatly honoured with the prestigious Pinnacle Award as Hotelier of the Year by the Canadian Foodservice & Hospitality Industry. Mr. Carson was also recognized by TIANS for his outstanding effort in the service of visitors to Nova Scotia with the Golden Hospitality Award in 2000and with the Alastair and Francis Campbell Award for his contribution to Tourism in 2010.
