What he doesn’t understand is that love can chase away shadows. But he’ll learn. In Susan Mallery books, men always learn that lesson.

New York Times bestselling romance author Susan Mallery has released Just One Kiss, book 10 in her popular series of Fool’s Gold romance novels from HQN Books, an imprint of Harlequin. Available in mass market paperback, e-book, and audiobook, Just One Kiss is the first book of the 2013 Fool’s Gold romance trilogy, which will be followed in July and August by Two of a Kind and Three Little Words.
“I adore Patience, the heroine of Just One Kiss,” Mallery says. “She’s a single mom, which means she can’t just allow herself to be swept away by the excitement of reconnecting with this sexy guy from her past. Justice was her first love, but he left her once before. If he leaves this time, she’s not the only one who could be hurt – he’ll break her daughter’s heart, too.”
Complicating matters further is the fact that Justice didn’t leave town by choice last time. He was in witness protection, and he was whisked away before he could say good-bye. Now that the danger is over, he has returned to Fool’s Gold to open a bodyguard academy.
“He can’t resist reconnecting with Patience, the girl he never forgot,” Mallery says, “even though he thinks he should stay away from her. He believes there’s a darkness inside of him that she should never see. What he doesn’t understand is that love can chase away shadows. But he’ll learn. In my books, men always learn that lesson.”
The previous Fool’s Gold romance novels have appeared on the New York Times, the USA Today, and the Publishers Weekly bestsellers lists. In 2012, Summer Nights hit #2 on the New York Times bestsellers list for mass market paperbacks, a personal best for Mallery.
The Book Pushers call Just One Kiss a must have, and Kirkus Reviews says of the “engaging” romance novel, “Mallery re-visits popular Fool’s Gold and offers yet another sweet, sexy story with alpha hero Justice and never-forgotten girl-next-door heroine Patience.”
