Canaa Lee, Founder of the EDUKATE Academy, published a collection of math stories entitled, "Algebra for the Urban Student." She is the daughter of Kathleen D. Lee and the late Travis O. Lee of Brinkley, AR. Lee has been a teacher for 11 years now and loves algebra. She has watched students struggle in math year after year and wanted to help students wrap their minds around abstract math concepts.
Lee is an expert algebra teacher. She also orchestrated a math enrichment program, Project (Educating and Diversifying to Grow Exponentially) EDGE in Garland, TX. Not only do students struggle with math but they also struggle with reading.
Lee is hosting a book signing in Plano, TX. The book signing is to be held at Barnes and Noble at Preston and Park, on Saturday, June 30, 2012, from 1 to 3 pm. In addition to "Algebra for the Urban Student", Canaa Lee plans to write the sequel. It is expected to be released August 2012.
