Introducing the Merry Minion, an amusing pollster who is speaking up with a top 10 list of opinions on work, money and life from working class Americans. The top 10 list is taken from MinionMonitor.com, a poll for people earning less than $50k/year with opinions more likely to be heard at the neighborhood BBQ rather than from Gallup. In honor of Bosses Day (10/16/09), the results are featured by the spirited and comical Merry Minion in a fun, fast, video countdown.

"The Merry Minion speaks up with insightful stats to put a wrinkle in your thinking and a smile on your face," says Gretchen Hofmann, founder of MinionMonitor.com and the creative force behind the Merry Minion.

The Merry Minion's top 10 list covers opinions about the job, CEOs, the economy, and the lighter side of life from America's working class. Sample stats include:

  • About the recession: The Fed says the recession is over: not my recession say 84% of Minions
  • In honor of Bosses Day (10/16/09): On the job, what matters most to me is: Fun 19%; Money 31% and Respect 50%

The Merry Minion encourages corporate big wigs to keep the Minions happy. "Come on now chiefs, show a little more respect to the troops. It doesn't cost you a dime," says the Merry Minion.

The Merry Minion features questions that working class people are talking about and gives you the answers.
