Do Good New England Offers Easy Access Grants for Local Nonprofits: Grants awarded by good2gether, a Cambridge Innovation Center resident

As a programming arm of, "Do Good New England" is offering $1000 grants to New England nonprofits that build and update a free good2gether profile over the next month. From April 23 - May 15th, Do Good New England will award $1,000.00 each week to randomly selected, community-oriented New England nonprofits that post their events, volunteer needs and other local needs on Go to for more information.

good2gether presents Do Good New England, a grant contest that awards $1,000 each week, now through May 16th, to New England area nonprofit organizations that join good2gether: a free search and social media Web service that connects people to causes through a broad network of major media outlets, corporate intranets, college/university websites, social networks, and more.

This contest is open to all New England area nonprofit organizations that register their organization and enter their up-and-coming events at Do Good New England Contest Details. Nonprofits that have a community focus with strong volunteer cooperation, and hold events that empower the New England community are strongly encouraged to apply.

How to Enter
For a chance to win one of four $1,000 grants, simply:

1. Join good2gether! It's easy, and it's free. Do Good New England Contest Details.

2. Submit as many entries as you like. Each activity you add to your profile equals one entry into the contest. Eligible activities include events, volunteer opportunities, programs, job postings and in-kind donation requests.

3. Add fresh activities to your profile each week through May 15th to remain eligible for each weekly drawing.

For example, if an organization joins, and posts three events and one job listing, it will receive five contest entries.

Award Details: One winning organization will be selected from each week's entries via a random drawing. Winners will be announced on April 25th, May 2nd, May 9th and May 16th. In addition to the grant award, winning organizations will be profiled on good2gether's website and will receive major media exposure and inclusion in all press releases regarding Do Good New England.

Existing nonprofits that joined good2gether prior to April 25th will automatically be entered in the first drawing. To continue to remain eligible, existing organizations need to add fresh activities weekly. The final entry deadline is midnight EST May 15th.

Contest Guidelines:

Must be a New England area registered 501c3 organization.

Must join and publish a profile for your organization at no later than midnight on May 15th, 2008. Weekly drawing deadlines are April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15, 2008.

Winners of the $1,000 grants will be notified by email and a follow up phone call immediately following each drawing.
