Boston Applied Technologies introduces an innovative visible-IR, high speed full polarization imaging technology based on high performance electro-optic materials and novel control algorithm. The ability to measure the two-dimensional full polarization images of a biological sample can provide considerable information on the sample composition as well as the potential to reveal significant structural information that normally would not be visible through standard intensity imaging techniques.

This is an acknowledgement of our full polarization imaging technology and the value it represents to medical, life science and other related fields.

Following a highly selective application process, Boston Applied Technologies, Inc. (BATi, http://www.bostonati.com) has been selected to present high speed polarization imaging technology and discuss future plans for its proprietary OptoCeramic visible-IR, high speed full polarization imaging solutions at WBT Innovation Marketplace’s ninth annual event. BATi will join more than 100 companies and technology innovators from across the nation and around the world as they present to hundreds of investors and corporate and national licensees at WBT2011. The event will be held March 22 and 23 at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel and the Arlington, Texas Convention Center.

This novel visible-IR, high speed full polarization imaging technology is based on BATi’s state-of-the-art electro-optic material, OptoCeramic material, and unique control algorithm. The ability to measure the two-dimensional full polarization images of a biological sample can provide considerable information on the sample composition as well as the potential to reveal significant structural information that normally would not be visible through standard intensity imaging techniques. A traditional optical microscope can be easily converted into an advanced full polarization imaging system with our compact add-on modules and control algorithm. The technology offers real-time and on-the-spot analysis and is easy-to-use.

“To be selected to present at this very prestigious event is quite an honor for the BATi team,” said Dr. Kevin Zou, President, Boston Appled Technologies, Inc. “We will be joined by leading researchers from around the world who are doing ground breaking work in many different aspects of technology.”

“We are honored to be selected to present this full polarization imaging solution during WBT2011,” said Dr. Zou. “This is an acknowledgement of our full polarization imaging technology and the value it represents to medical, life science and other related fields.”

WBT Innovation Marketplace is an annual forum offering a prescreened, pre-prepped collection of undiscovered companies and intellectual property emanating from top universities, labs and research institutions from across the country.

“We are incredibly pleased to welcome Boston Applied Technologies to WBT2011 and support their commercialization goals at our widely recognized forum of vetted and mentored deals for institutional investors, angel investors, and corporate licensees," said Paul Huleatt, CEO of WBT Innovation Marketplace. “As with past WBT events, presenters will have the opportunity to meet with investors and corporate and national licensees, and all WBT2011 attendees will experience two full days of content-rich sessions, an exhibitor showcase, and inspiring speakers at our unparalleled, deal-focused forum of emerging technologies.”

All presenting companies and technologies will have been rigorously prepped by WBT commercialization experts prior to presenting to an anticipated audience of more than 600 venture capitalists and Fortune 1000 licensees. Boston Applied Technologies will compete with the other presenting companies and technology innovators for top honors during the event. One in three WBT presenters goes on to secure venture funding, license their technology, or sell their IP outright, representing over $490 million raised to date.
