The French players have been decided: Nicolas Forestier, a 32-year-old office employee will participate in the men's section with 2007 World Championship trios silver medallist Marilyn Planchard trying to become the first French woman ever to win the title.
We also have our second father and daughter team with Javed Ashrif and his daughter Faieza Zahida representing Pakistan.
There could even be a record entry as 97 countries have registered. Anne-Marie Board, QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup manager, said: "I'm sure the attractions of the French Riviera and the wonderful arrangements made by our hosts and the Club Lou Pigno have played a part in encouraging participation. As always I am looking forward to meeting all the players and to what I know will be an excellent event in Toulon."
This year fans around the work will be able to follow the event through live streaming, available through three different media outlets:
The finals will take place on Saturday 23rd October with the top three women starting at 10.00 am and the men at 2.00pm. Both finals will be carried live on Var TV.
