BoxTone(R) Inc., the expert in mobile user management, today reported that sales of its management, monitoring and support software modules for the BlackBerry(R) platform exceeded third quarter projections, despite a particularly challenging purchasing environment for enterprise software.

For the quarter ending September 30, 2008, BoxTone saw its market leading client base move past 160 just as the total number of mobile end users licensed under BoxTone software moved beyond 360,000 - both records. Customer loyalty remained strong as well, with BoxTone software renewal rates continuing in the 96 percent range.

"BoxTone added over 20 new customers and saw third quarter sales double over the same quarter last year thanks largely to the market's recognition of the mobile user platform as mission critical," said Alan Snyder, CEO, BoxTone. "And by placing their trust in BoxTone software and services, our customers gain the advantage of reduced mobile platform support costs and improved service quality."

Some highlights from the most recently completed fiscal quarter:

1. Company now has 60 clients in the Fortune(R) 1000 and Forbes(R) Global 2000 across all major sectors including Aerospace & Defense, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Health Care, Service Providers, Technology and Telecommunications.
2. Added the second largest U.S. federal agency as a cutomer.
3. Saw 80 percent of its installed base expand their BoxTone investments through the addition of new user licenses, and software modules for Asset, Expense & Compliance Management and Service Desk Management.
