Appian, the global innovator in enterprise and cloud-based business process management BPM software, today announced continued growth through the first quarter of 2011. Q1 2011 was the best quarter in the company’s history, with a 202 percent increase in BPM software sales over Q1 2010. 42 percent of the quarter’s software sales were for cloud deployment of the Appian BPM Suite, demonstrating Appian’s continued leadership in Cloud BPM. Appian signed more than 20 new customers in the quarter.

New Appian BPM software customers in Q1 2011 included such well-known brands as C.R. Bard, Inc., and Husky Oil Operations, Ltd. Leading organizations selected the Appian BPM Suite for core business processes across Finance, Acquisition, Human Resources, Customer Service and other areas. Appian Cloud BPM customers continued to cite time-to-deployment, no up-front investment, and seamless migration to on-premise as their primary reasons for choosing to deploy Appian software as a service (SaaS).

BPM Innovation Leader

Appian announced the newest version of its award-winning Appian BPM Suite, and its mobile BPM and social business interface, Appian Tempo, during Q1 2011. Appian’s technology innovation continued to reflect the dominant inflection points in enterprise IT.
