Year after year I’m always quite pleased to see the heightened level of interest in our real estate as a result of the Humana Challenge.

Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams and real estate expert, has today announced that Palm Springs real estate and La Quinta real estate will get a big boost from Bill Clinton and the upcoming Humana Challenge, formerly the Bob Hope Classic. The popular 53 year-old tournament, which includes the direct involvement of former President Clinton, along with tournament participation by many popular celebrities will put a huge spotlight on the Palm Springs area – in particular Palm Springs, CA real estate.

Brad Schmett, an expert in Palm Springs real estate, specializes in helping buyers maximize their investment when purchasing vacation properties and second homes in golf course and gated communities. Through his many years of service in the real estate industry, Schmett has earned a reputation for providing the highest level of service to his clientele.

Schmett states, “Year after year I’m always quite pleased to see the heightened level of interest in our real estate as a result of the Humana Challenge. Based on current market conditions and this year's anticipated tournament turn-out, we’re expecting the 2013 Humana Challenge to possibly be the best ever to boost local real estate activity.”

Schmett adds, “January is the official start of our 'high season' in the Palm Springs area and the many thousands of visiting spectators along with a huge global television audience really puts a focus on Palm Springs. The world gets to see first-hand the area’s jaw-dropping natural beauty along with what many consider to be the best winter weather on the planet. It makes people, especially snowbirds, want to buy a second home or condo here.”

The 2013 Humana Challenge is a four-round, 72-hole event being held January 14-20 in La Quinta, CA at historic La Quinta Country Club and PGA West’s Nicklaus and Palmer Private courses. The tournament name (Humana Challenge) coincides with an eight-year sponsorship deal with health care conglomerate Humana, a working relationship with former President Bill Clinton, and a four-day, three-course format, all of which began with the 2012 Humana Challenge. The tournament will continue to honor and celebrate the legacy of Bob Hope culminating with the presentation of the Bob Hope Memorial Trophy immediately after play on the final day of the tournament.

Schmett states, “As in past years, a significant portion of my out-of-area real estate sales activity during tournament week comes from tournament goers who are also looking to buy real estate in the Palm Springs area. There’s always a great deal of excitement about learning more about the incredible real estate buying opportunities here in the Palm Springs area.”

Some of the lowest real estate prices in over a decade, along with historically low mortgage interest rates and a broad range in inventory of homes and condos for sale gives buyers more options than ever before in the Palm Springs and La Quinta real estate markets. Schmett urges, “We may never see the likes of this type of buying opportunity in our lifetimes again. Now – or tournament week – is definitely a phenomenal time to buy Palm Springs area real estate.”
