I am really excited about the home being on HGTV Million Dollar Room 2 because I think it will finally give people an idea of why the pool is so much more than just a pool in the living room.

HGTV will be featuring Power Properties’ Braden Power and Casa Bellamini on their hit show Million Dollar Rooms New Year’s Day of 2011. The main focus will specifically be on the luxurious pool that is five feet deep, 20 feet long, heated, and finished in Bazaza Glass.
The show will air on HGTV on New Years Day at 5pm ET. The show only runs once a year and a Dallas home has never been selected before. Million Dollar Rooms selected 3 rooms throughout the world including a lavish room in Italy.
“I am really excited about the home being on HGTV Million Dollar Room 2 because I think it will finally give people an idea of why the pool is so much more than just a pool in the living room,” said Braden Power who is also being featured in the HGTV promotional videos for the show.
“Its reflection is interesting to watch on the walls of the natatorium. When the sun comes in the afternoon, the crystals on the chandelier hanging over the pool, reflect throughout the entire room. It is also really interesting to see all the amazing wood and stone carvings with the fire reflected in the water at night.”
The natatorium is easily converted into a great living room within a matter of hours as well. “I had guests over without telling them about the pool,” said Braden Power. We went to the movies and shopping, came back in a few hours and the great room was gone with the pool and fountains in its place. You should have seen the look on their faces.
Casa Bellamini, named after Braden Power’s mother was his most prized brainchild over seven years ago. Braden Power, along with renowned architect Cole Smith designed and built the one of a kind home together. “Cole and I designed this home three years before I even bought the lot",said Braden Power.
“ It was difficult to find a lot wide enough to contain a pool in the central corridor of the home and I actually had to buy two adjoining lots to make it work. I really wanted to design and build a project that no one had ever seen before and wanted it to have a sense of architectural integrity that stood the test of time, which is why I hired Cole. He is truly is the best architect in the city. As the sole architect for celebrities such as Jerry Jones, I felt really fortunate that he and I could spend so much time together. We literally spent hours for years coming up with each design detail in the house. Almost everything from the chandeliers, doors, stone entrance, mantels, and more were hand drawn and then built.”
Braden Power, 50% partner of Power Properties, built the home as a model to design and build the concept all over the world. Casa Bellamini was to be the model for interested clients to observe the art. “I renovated and sold 360 condos in the time it took me to build this project,” said Braden Power. I consider the home more like a piece of art than just a place to live. I wanted each room to be a surprise. The idea was that a person could come and experience the home, and if they liked it, I could recreate the space in a fraction of the time and money it cost me to build the original.”
