We need a clear head to sustain peak performance. To succeed as a business woman, I must be able to concentrate. When you feel foggy, you are more likely to make needless mistakes. When your brain is sluggish, you have a harder time multitasking.

California-based Youthing Essentials has released “Brain Fitness Pays Off at the Office,” the latest guide in a series advancing good health as a business tool. Each guide is designed to help business women invest in their health so they can accelerate their careers and businesses.

"Maybe you already have a regular workout routine at the gym - or at least you have good intentions about starting one," says guide author Harriet Diamond. "That's smart. A healthy body is a valuable business tool. But are you also keeping your brain fit?"

"No single thing is going to magically make a person smarter. Even good products shouldn't be expected to produce instant results. That fantasy, in fact, helps create unrealistic expectations and can sabotage a business woman's attempt to improve her fitness!"

The brain is not a simple calculating machine that can be isolated from the rest of the body. It's an integrated control center, the part of your body you rely on most to perform your job well. The new guide discusses the difference between brain health and brain fitness, and why both are important.

The Guide presents some recent scientific research into the effects that good diet and exercise can have on the brain. And it details the way that a particular tool can help maintain brain fitness, Personal Coach, an online program from CogniFit Ltd.

"We need a clear head to sustain peak performance," says Diamond. "To succeed as a business woman, I must be able to concentrate. When you feel foggy, you are more likely to make needless mistakes. When your brain is sluggish, you have a harder time multitasking."

Youthing Essentials was founded in late 2009 by Harriet Diamond, a nutritionist and former Silicon Valley executive. The company offers specific solutions for clear thinking, multi-tasking, energy, better sleep and better digestion -- all essential ingredients to business success.

"Unlike 'anti-aging' the term 'youthing' connotes enthusiasm: embracing our whole selves -- enjoying the moment we are in and looking forward to the future," says Diamond. "Youthing Essentials is here as a trusted resource for guidance and products that really work for professionals under constant pressure."
