New York brain injury attorney Michael V. Kaplen has been invited by the American Association of Justice to lecture on “The Ethics of Representing a Traumatic Brain Injury Client” during its annual convention to be held in San Francisco, California on Sunday, July 21, 2013.
Kaplen, a member of the New York personal injury law firm, De Caro & Kaplen, LLP is a past chair of the association’s Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group and past chair of the its Motor Vehicle, Premise and Highway Liability Section.

Each year the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group presents an educational program designed to educate personal injury attorneys on important considerations when representing victims of brain damage because of negligence or medical malpractice. The theme of this year’s program is, Proving Traumatic Brain Injury with Objective Evidence.
Kaplen is a well-known national lecturer on the legal aspects of traumatic brain injury. He frequently lectures to state trial lawyer groups and at programs sponsored by state and national brain injury organizations. He has received many honors and awards for his advocacy efforts for individuals with traumatic brain injury including the prestigious public policy award by the Brain Injury Association of New York State.
