Brand Strategy Guru, the specialist brand consultancy firm founded by high-profile brand consultant and author Simon Middleton, has returned to operation following a short sabbatical, during which Middleton created a market leading retail brand in less than 10 months.

Brand Strategy Guru, the specialist brand consultancy firm founded by high-profile brand consultant and author Simon Middleton, has returned to operation following a short sabbatical, during which Middleton created a market leading retail brand in less than 10 months.

Simon Middleton, who is author of Build A Brand In 30 Days (Capstone 2010) and Brand New You (HayHouse 2012), had taken a break from consultancy during 2012 while focusing on his specialist music retail brand Banjos Direct.

But with the retail brand having become firmly established as a UK market leader in just ten months from its launch, Middleton is now back to helping other businesses and organisations to tell their stories more effectively.

Middleton explained: “We set ourselves a tough challenge with Banjos Direct, to become the UK market leader in our niche within two years, and we’ve actually achieved it in less than one. So we have an operational team running that business, allowing me to return to brand consultancy.

“And I have personally taken so much fantastic learning through the process of building my own successful retail brand that the advice and support I can provide through Brand Strategy Guru is now more valuable than ever.

“I’ve learned first hand what works and what doesn’t in working to build a brand fast and these are lessons that are applicable to any brand, regardless of size or sector, whether commercial or non-profit,” Middleton added.

Middleton is keen to hear from SMEs, charities, and larger corporates who recognise that their brand needs careful attention to maximise its positive impact and to ensure that their brand is actually helping, rather than hindering their progress.

Middleton’s firm Brand Strategy Guru has worked with a wide range of clients as diverse in many sectors, from Aviva to The Broads National Park, and from Anthony Nolan to World Vision.

Middleton, who is also author of What You Need To Know About Marketing (Capstone 2011), is a regular commentator on brand and marketing topics on British media. He has appeared on BBC’s Newsnight, Breakfast and The Politics Show, as well as on CNN, Bloomberg TV and Sky News.

He consults and speaks at brand and marketing conferences internationally.
