20th Annual Night in Tuscany Fundraiser for Novato's North Bay Children's Center a Display of Ongoing Community Support

Marin's North Bay Children's Center held its annual A Night in Tuscany fundraiser at Novato's Stone Tree Golf Club. A major program fundraiser for the NBCC, all proceeds from A Night in Tuscany help fund educational programs like the Garden of Eatin' project, hot meal and child scholarship programs.

(PRWEB) October 21, 2009 -- For members of Marin and Sonoma counties, the North Bay Children's Center (NBCC) has served as an educational and family support center for nearly 20 years. Despite tough economic times, local businesses and community members turned out in full support of the NBCC and their mission at the 20th annual "A Night in Tuscany" fall fundraiser at Novato's Stone Tree Golf Club. An estimated 250 people turned out to enjoy a beautiful fall day of golf, silent auction of fine art and wine, dinner with community members and a live auction all in support of the NBCC and their mission.

In what proved to be an entertaining part of the evening, the live auction brought about some friendly competition and generous giving. After the last auction item, the cheering had faded and the new owners collected their wares - close to $70,000 was raised in support of the NBCC.

As a non-profit organization supported by the community it serves, donations and grants have allowed NBCC to build unique education opportunities like the Garden of Eatin' project as well as hot meal and scholarship programs. All proceeds from this year's Night in Tuscany event go to support these programs.
