Embracing the agency’s strategic and creative recommendations for increasing the performance of its donor file, the Charlotte Rescue Mission has moved its direct response fundraising program to Brewer Direct. The Los Angeles agency assumes responsibility for all donor acquisition and cultivation campaigns, as well as online giving for the mission.
Brewer Direct’s customization strategy played a significant role in the win, according to the faith-based organization’s Executive Director, Reverend Anthony Marciano. The agency, which represents more than 20 rescue missions across the United States, presented an integrated campaign tailored to the Mission’s unique recovery programs for helping homeless men and women overcome addiction.
“We offer a number of specialized programs – many of which you won’t find at a traditional homeless shelter – aimed at helping individuals transition from a life of substance abuse dependency to becoming self-reliant, contributing members of the community,” said Reverend Marciano. “Brewer Direct’s messaging powerfully captured and conveyed that spirit.”
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Agency President & CEO Randy Brewer managed the nonprofit’s direct mail programs several years ago, while working for another agency. That experience and familiarity with the market, helped inform the firm’s creative and media strategies.
