Bright Kids is moving to Chicago! In September 2012, Bright Kids will be opening their first office outside of New York City. Students in Chicago take a number of standardized tests throughout their elementary and middle school years. Bright Kids is proud to offer preparation and support for any test your child takes, including the exams for Chicago Public Schools’ Selective Enrollment Elementary and Middle School programs. We will also provide preparation for the ISAT, CogAT, ITBS, ISEE, CTP-4, and other Chicago private school achievement exams.
Bright Kids prides itself on its tutoring method, which provides individualized attention and outstanding results. We start each student’s program with a full assessment or diagnostic to determine the student’s strengths and areas for improvement. These assessment results are used to create a customized tutoring curriculum to be used in one-on-one tutoring sessions in your home or at our office. Each individualized session is led by a teachers certified by the State of Illinois who holds a Master’s degree in Education. Along with this option, Bright Kids Chicago will offer Bootcamp packages, a signature service of Bright Kids. These bundles offer sessions and publications for students applying to take the Regional Gifted Center and/or the Classical School exams. Bootcamps will offer flexible in-office scheduling, with 6- or 8-session packages for individual tests and 12-session packages to prepare for both exams.
For parents looking to prepare for these exams at home, Bright Kids Chicago will be launching Regional Gifted Center and Classical School Preparation Guides in the fall. The publications will help prepare your child for these exams by providing practice questions in the exact same format as the exams. It is good to practice with each individual subtest, as they develop essential problem-solving and critical-thinking skills that they will need to be successful on entrance exams and in school.
