Two More Award Wins for British Insurance
Independent payment protection insurer, British Insurance, has recently been named Best Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance Provider and Best Overall Insurance Provider by readers of Mortgage Introducer magazine.

Readers were asked to nominate firms operating in the mortgage sector that in their opinion have outperformed others, taking into account; value for money, product offering, service to clients, previous claims management experience and ease of purchase.
Some 20 reader-nominated awards are up for grabs and British Insurance managed to outshine leading lenders, insurers and providers to take two accolades. In 2007, Managing Director Simon Burgess scooped two Mortgage Introducer awards - Best MPPI Provider and Best Insurance Broker - and has repeated his success.
Burgess says: "I'm delighted readers have voted for us once again - firms may profess to be customer focused and offer market-leading products, but confirmation of this has to come from the customers themselves. This is a wonderful seal of approval, but we will not rest on our laurels, British Insurance will continue to adapt its product range to meet consumers' needs and offer an extensive, competitively priced and socially responsible portfolio."
Mortgage Introducer Editor Nia Williams comments: "British Insurance has become well-known for offering a good range of products, giving value for money to consumers. Winning awards is becoming commonplace as this is the second set of mortgage industry accolades Burgess has picked up in the last week. He also received Best Overall Insurance Provider and Excellence in Treating Customers Fairly awards from Mortgage Finance Gazette magazine.
Burgess concludes: "Much work has to be done to repair the damaged reputation of providers in the payment protection insurance market and hopefully this 'thumbs up' from readers will go some way to restoring confidence in this product and encourage people to shop around and source cover from independent firms."
