Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) October 9, 2008 -- SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless equipment, today announced a promotion where customers can save USD$2,000 on a SkyGateway when they trade-in a base station from another vendor such as Alvarion®, Motorola®, Proxim®, or Redline® and upgrade to SkyPilot for their unlicensed wireless network.

"Our recent announcement of the SkyConnector Mini and the SkyConnector Pro caused a lot of ISPs to rethink their unlicensed wireless deployment plans," said Brian Jenkins, vice president of marketing at SkyPilot. "With this promotion, we're simply trying to lower the cost for WISPs who wish to upgrade their broadband wireless network to SkyPilot."

To obtain the USD$2,000 savings on a SkyGateway, customers simply need to:

  • Complete the online pre-approval form.
  • Purchase a SkyExtender from an authorized SkyPilot distributor or reseller (for assistance identifying a SkyPilot distributor or reseller, please contact SkyPilot at sales@skypilot.com).
  • Ship their base station trade-in along with 1) a copy of their pre-approval and 2) a copy of their invoice.
  • Receive their free SkyExtender-to-SkyGateway upgrade (a USD$2,000 value), which converts the SkyExtender into a SkyGateway.

For more information on the base station trade-in promotion, please contact SkyPilot at sales@skypilot.com.
