The Book of Mormon not only won the Tony for Best Musical, but it has been selling out every show since. This tongue-in-cheek production takes aim at religion and musicals in general, and audiences have been laughing for months.

Broadway's fall season is promising to be one of the hottest in years! Stars are shining bright in a host of shows, with A-list names like Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman, and Kim Cattrall alongside stage veterans like Patti Lupone and Bernadette Peters. With the kind of talent on display, it's sure to be one of the most memorable years on Broadway, with tickets to the best shows selling out.
Several big productions have already opened to rave reviews. Follies, the Stephen Sondheim musical revival starring Bernadette Peters and Elaine Paige, is already garnering Tony award buzz. Ben Brantley of the New York Times called the show "white hot," and the show has played to sold out houses since its opening. Another much talked about show is Relatively Speaking, a collection of three one-act plays written by Elaine May, Ethan Coen, and Woody Allen. Directed by John Turturro and headed by an ensemble cast of theater veterans, this collection of comedies centers on a single family but with very different takes from the three writers.
Later in the season, several anticipated shows are set to dazzle the theater community. Harry Connick, Jr. returns to the Great White Way in a revival of the musical On A Clear Day You Can See Forever. Last seen in the revival of The Pajama Game, Connick, Jr. is a fan favorite. Kim Cattrall heads the cast of Noel Coward's Private Lives, a wildly successful London production making the jump across the pond to Broadway. Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett, two Hollywood powerhouses, take the stage in The Mountaintop, the story of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s last night before he was gunned down in Memphis. In other musical news, Stephen Schwartz, the composer of Wicked, brings his beloved musical, Godspell, back to Broadway. One of the most anticipated openings of the year is The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, a completely revamped version written by Pulitzer prize winners Suzi Lori-Parks and Diedre Murray and starring Audra McDonald.
All of the new shows are joining an already stellar lineup of favorites. The Book of Mormon not only won the Tony for Best Musical, but it has been selling out every show since. This tongue-in-cheek production takes aim at religion and musicals in general, and audiences have been laughing for months. Wicked, The Addams Family, Jersey Boys, and Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark continue to charm sold out audiences every night.
With the amount of talent and excitement on Broadway this season, getting tickets to the hottest shows won't be easy. Don't miss your chance to see one of theater's best seasons!
