The Brookeside Group, Inc. was named a Finalist today in the Sales Training or Coaching Program of the Year category in the third annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
The awards are presented by the Stevie® Awards, which organizes several of the world's leading business awards shows including the prestigious American Business Awards.
More than 500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year's competition. There are 27 categories for customer service professionals and 41 categories for sales professionals.
Brookeside developed an 18-month sales training program to be delivered in three phases for a Fortune 1000 financial services company. Phase I launched this year with the goals of developing superior sales skills for sales managers and helping account executives gain time. Using the theme of "sharpening the saw without stopping the cutting," account executives plan and role play real-life scenarios with their own prospects and clients, not generic situations. This allows participants to learn new skills with actual prospects in a safe environment while also completing work they would have had to do anyway in less time and with greater success.
ROI has already been realized. Eight sales teams have completed the training to date and each selected a prospect they had less than a 50% chance of landing to work on. Seven of those accounts have since been won.
