the Sidewalk Sale introduces Brookline residents to what local stores and restaurants have to offer
Brookline, MA (PRWEB) July 30, 2009
August 1st and 2nd mark the return of a favorite local event for bargain hunters and smart shoppers alike, the annual Sidewalk Sale sponsored by the Coolidge Corner Merchants Association (CCMA). The sale will be held from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and noon to 4 pm on Sunday.
In the event of bad weather, it will be held Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9 instead.
This year's sale is being organized by CCMA members Terry Meyers (Cause to Paws), David Leschinsky (Eurkeka!), MaryLynn Pergantis (Party Favors) and Marge Amster (Commercial Areas Coordinator for the City of Brookline)
Shoppers can enjoy some great bargains outdoors, as well as leisurely browsing or eating indoors at participating businesses. In addition to savings, "the Sidewalk Sale introduces Brookline residents to what local stores and restaurants have to offer", says Ms Meyers. Further, it is an opportunity to help the local community. According to Meyers, "68 cents of every dollar spent at a locally-owned business stays in Brookline." In today's economy, the impact of support within the community is particularly powerful and greatly needed. Additional information on buying locally is available at the350project.net.
There will be a wide range of bargains to enjoy. Participating businesses include, but are not limited to:
Cause to Paws, Vintage, Eureka! Puzzles, Ten Thousand Villages, Party Favors, Brookline Booksmith, Qdoba, Fire Opal, Simons Shoes, Magic Beans, The Pear Tree, Pizzeria Dante, Mint Julep, Vitamin World, Modern Pilates, Melt, Gourmet Curry House, Crossroads Trade
Additional information on the Sidewalk Sale is available online at the CCMA's website, coolidgecornermerchants.com, or by contacting Ms Meyers.
