New ATMAE Leader Will Focus on Growth by Building Partnerships with Industry and Educational Institutions

ATMAE's new Executive Director, Bruce Aldrich, CAE, will lead the organization with a bright new outlook on how education and industry can work together to develop the strong workforce that the US needs to rebuild the economy.

As of July 1, 2012, the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) has hired a new Executive Director, Mr. Bruce Aldrich, CAE. Mr. Aldrich brings over 30 years of association management to ATMAE and will work to energize the organization, increasing quality services that are relevant to the ATMAE membership and industries that ATMAE serves. ATMAE currently provides: accreditation, professional certification, a national conference, and the Journal of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (JTMAE).

Former Executive Director, Rick Coscarelli, is now the Director of Accreditation and will focus on growing the ATMAE accreditation program.

Mr. Aldrich brings a wealth of organizational success with him to ATMAE. He has served as a Consultant to several national and international organizations and has published several articles for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). As the Deputy CEO of the Photo Marketing Association International, he helped the association acquire two competitor associations, grew revenue annually and established a global footprint for the organization in 100 countries.

As a Certified Association Executive (CAE), Mr. Aldrich understands the inner workings of successful organizations. “A successful Executive Director understands the importance of member/board of director’s involvement while maintaining an eagle eye focus on the mission and vision of the organization.” Mr. Aldrich will work with the ATMAE Board of Directors and the ATMAE Foundation to focus on the growth of ATMAE while ensuring that the organization supports the needs of its members and the industries served by technology and applied engineering.

In the current economic climate, businesses are coming back to the United States to find talent. They have discovered that is increasingly difficult to hire qualified people to fill some of these positions. ATMAE is dedicated to helping its educational members gain the experience to assist their students gain the knowledge and talent to fill this gap.
