Testing and listing products with the BACnet Testing Laboratories is crucial in ensuring they conform to the BACnet standard and are interoperable.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 23, 2012
The BACnet Testing Laboratories’ Working Group (BTL-WG) recently released BTL Test Package 12.0, which contains updated testing procedures that can be acquired and used by manufacturers to pre-test products for BACnet compliance.
“Test Plan 12.0 brings lab testing capability into line with the recently published edition of the BACnet standard 135-2010,” stated Duffy O’Craven, BTL Manager. “Aspects such as UTF-8 encoding, proper BACnet-Reject behavior, and respecting of Preparation Times for Backup&Restore, are some of these newly tested capabilities that will affect a wide range of devices.”
“Testing and listing products with the BACnet Testing Laboratories is crucial in ensuring they conform to the BACnet standard and are interoperable,” stated Andy McMillan, President of BACnet International and Philips Teletrol. “It is a key element in our work of furthering global compatibility by facilitating BACnet adoption and user success.”
